Weight Calculator
What a mass weighs, on Earth or anywhere else.
Mass is not weight
W = m × g
Mass (kg) is how much matter you are; weight is the force gravity exerts on it, measured in newtons. A 75 kg person weighs 736 N on Earth, 122 N on the Moon and 1,859 N on Jupiter, while remaining 75 kg everywhere. Bathroom scales measure force and quietly divide by Earth's g.
kgf and lbf
Kilograms-force and pounds-force are convenience units: the weight of that mass under standard Earth gravity. They make everyday numbers familiar but hide the g, which is exactly why physics sticks to newtons.
