Volume to weight
Suppliers sell gravel by the ton or by the cubic yard. Typical crushed stone runs about 1.4 US tons per cubic yard (1.68 metric tons per m³), but it varies by material: pea gravel is a bit lighter, wet sand and crushed granite heavier. Your quarry's ticket weight wins.
Depth guidance
Paths: 2 to 3 inches. Driveway top course: 3 to 4 inches over a compacted base. New driveway from bare soil: two or three lifts totalling 8 to 12 inches, compacted per lift. Order 5 to 10% extra; settling and edge spillage always eat some.
