Two values pin down everything
A right angle plus any two other measurements fixes the triangle completely. Two sides resolve through the Pythagorean theorem; a side and an angle resolve through the trig ratios: opposite = hypotenuse × sin, adjacent = hypotenuse × cos, opposite = adjacent × tan.
